Priadky
Slovak: Priadky- Od októbra do februára sa ženy a dievčatá schádzali vo vopred dohodnutom dome na spoločné pradenie ľanu. Bol to zároveň prostriedok na rozvoj spoločenského života v obci. V dohodnuté dní mohli prísť za nimi mládenci a usporiadala sa tanečná zábava.
English: Linen thread making- From october till february group of women a girls joined together in chosen house to work together on linen threads. This was opportunity to grow social life in a village. Some days were men allowed to join then and arrange little dance night.
Na Lucie
Slovak: Na Lucie- Dievčatá sa večer obliekli do bielych plachiet, potreli si tvár múkou a chodiac po dedine vymetali husacími krídlami príbytky od zlých síl.
English: St. Lucy’s day- In the evening girls from village put on white sheets, covered their faces with flour, walked through a village and swept evil powers from houses with goose feathers.
Pečenie oblátkov
Slovak: Pečenie oblátkov- Prípravu vianočných oblátkov mal na starosti učiteľ. S pomocou žiakov zabezpečil od obyvateľov suroviny, drevo, výrobu a následné roznášanie po dedine. Práca to nebola ľahká a často pri pečení a strihaní bývali hore dlho do noci.
English: Christmas wafer baking- Local teacher was the one who was in charge of christmas wafers production. With the help of his pupils he ensured supplies, wood and delivery later on. This was not an easy job. They had to stay awake very long time very often to bake and cut all the wafers.
Betlehemci
Slovak: Betlehemci- Po Štedrom dni sa skupina mladých chlapcov oblečie do kroja a idú od domu k domu po celej dedine a predvádzajú krátku hru o pastieroch, ktorí sa idú pokloniť malému Ježiškovi.
English: Betlehemci- Day after Christmas eve group of young boys dress up in traditional costumes and they visit each house in the village performing short play about shepherds who are on the way to bow to baby Jezus.
